VCSA 6.7.0c released

This week VMware released the Update c for VCSA 6.7.0.

With this update VMware fixes severall Issues:

  • Upgrade Issues
  • Installation Issues
  • Micellaneous Issues
  • vCenter Server, vSphere Web Client, and vSphere Client Issues

Update VCSA 6.7

To update your VCSA follow the steps below. The pictures maybe show different version numbers, but I’ve tested it with the listed versions.

Tested with:

  • VCSA 6.7.0    (6.7.0.10000 Build 8217866)
  • VCSA 6.7.0a (6.7.0.11000 Build 8546234)
  • VCSA 6.7.0b (6.7.0.12000 Build 8832884)
  • VCSA 6.7.0c (6.7.0.13000 Build 9232925)

VCSA 6.7.0b released

This week VMware released the Update b for VCSA 6.7.0.

With this update VMware fixes a security issue regarding the hypervisor-assisted guest mitigation of CVE-2018-3639 for guest operating systems

vCenter Server 6.5 Update 1g released

This week VMware released the Update 1g for vCenter Server.

With this update VMware fixes two issues.

First it provides a part of the hypervisor-assisted guest mitigation (CVE-2017-5715) and second it fixes an issue with putting ESXi hosts into an empty EVC Cluster.

vCenter Server 6.5 Update 1f released

Just one month after releasing vCenter Update1e VMware released the Update 1f for vCenter Server.

The Update patches the vCSA operating system (Photon OS) against Spectre-1 (CVE-2017-5753) and Meltdown (CVE-2017-5754).
A patch for the Spectre-2-vulnerability (CVE-2017-5715) is still not availiable.
