General Availability of VMware vSphere 6.5 Update 1

Several days ago VMware spends vSphere 6.5 the Update 1. This is the first major update since 8 month and includes many fixes which were found in this time.

vCenter Server, the vSphere Client and vSAN got some exciting enhancements and capabilities. The upgrade from 6.0 U3 to 6.5 U1 is now possible. This release is the last supporting release for third party vSwitches.

vCenter Server 6.5.0e released

On July 15th VMware released the update for vCenter Server 6.5. The vCenter Server Appliance and the vCenter Server on Windows gets elevated to version “e” Build 5705665.

Veeam released Update 2 for Backup & Replication 9.5

On May 12th Veeam has released the Update 2 for Backup and Replication 9.5

I’ve updated now my home lab and after testing our production site too. The Update runs fine with no errors, all jobs are finishing successful. From my side there is no reason to wait for installing the update.

Veeam had listen to the customers and has included many enhancements (vSAN 6.6; Exchange 2016 CU5; Storage Vendor support) and fixes.
